According to Mercedes Halfón, Quieta is a book made up of photographs by Guadalupe Gaona that describes “the slow process of dismantling an aristocratic house in Buenos Aires. This is the event chosen for photography. A period that goes from full to empty, in which a house loses its attributes of home, ceases to be habitable, to become an inhospitable space. The result is a visual narrative -without accompanying writings- very propositive in the context of Latin American photography.
This publication won first place in the first edition of the Fotolibro Latinoamérica contest, organized by RM in 2010.
